From Kiev, a 1,000 years old city and the capitol of the Ukraine, through Kanjev, the sacral place of the great poet and painter Taras Shevchenko, through the ports of Kremencug, Zaporozhje the first Cossack state, Herson, situated right on the Dneper delta and further on to Yalta, "The Pearl of Crimea", the most popular tourist resort, where the great poet Anton Chekhov lived prior to his death. Take a photograph of the famous Swallow's Nest, the Gothic castle built on the huge overhanging cliff, and the Great Livadia Palace where the Yalta Conference with leaders of three allied powers, Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin, was held in 1945. Visit Sevastopolj, the headquarters of the Black Sea fleet with the Panorama Museum, and the three-dimension exhibition of the Crimea War, where even the famous writer Tolstoj took part. Finally comes Odessa, "The pearl of Black Sea", with the 460 feet high Potjemki's stairs.
